Yamoussoukro's Charles Konan Banny Arena plays host to a fascinating Gathering C tie between defending champs, Senegal taking on Guinea in what will be a decider for the primary spot on Tuesday, 23 January.
Following their 3-1 win over Cameroon, which was gone before by a 3-0 win over Gambia, Senegal are top of the gathering. Guinea then again held the Dauntless Lions to a 1-1 opening match prior to edging Gambia 1-0 to be second on the gathering in front of the last conflict against the defending champs.
This is the thing the mentors and commanders needed to express in front of the conflict:
Kaba Diawara - Guinea Mentor
"We have 4 focuses up to this point, which is great, yet it isn't sufficient. We play all the matches to win, and triumph over Senegal implies that we will go top of the gathering, and we won't need to go for the quarter-last match. We will profit from the arrival of every single harmed player and go for each of the three places.
We will confront the reigning champ, who have 6 focuses and has scored 6 objectives up until this point. The strain won't be on us, however on Senegal since they are African heroes".
Morgan Guilavogui - Guinean Midfielder
"We played a decent match against Senegal in the Cameroon 2021 release, and presently we have grown further. We have been working with the mentor for a very long time, and we have a few skilled players.
Conveying the shades of the Guinean public group involves pride for myself and I'm cheerful about that. I currently have insight with the Guinean public group, and we arranged well before the opposition started".
Aliou Cisse - Senegal Mentor
"We arranged for the match genuinely and expertly, similarly as we had arranged for past matches. The match among Senegal and Guinea is an eagerly awaited derby in West Africa. There are 3 derbies in our gathering. Our third match is significant,
and we are depending on a success to remain in the number one spot. We put the matches among Gambia and Cameroon previously. The match wherein we confronted Guinea during the Cameroon version was troublesome because of the Crown pandemic, and the year 2022 isn't like 2024".
Nampalys Mendy - Senegalese Midfielder
"Matches change, yet the assurance continues as before. Everybody is centered around the match, despite the fact that we qualified for the following round. I didn't address my partner at Focal point colleagues. We are companions, yet on the field every one guards his nation's group."
